Latest News from Foundation For His Ministry

Foundation for His Ministry Weekly Praise & Prayer Newsletter

Foundation for His Ministry is a mission whose purpose is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. To this end we share and demonstrate God’s love through the power of the Holy Spirit by meeting basic spiritual, physical and educational needs of those in Mexico and beyond. This will be done in such a way as to establish the Mission as a model of effective ministry for other parts of the world.

We so appreciate your prayers and concern for Foundation For His Ministry. We know that without you, none of this would be possible.

Praise Reports:
.  Dirk Kos, Assistant Administrator of the Baja Mission, reports:

The wheelchairs have arrived!!!! All 50 of them!! It is indeed a huge blessing they were allowed to cross  the whole load. Apparently nothing could be crossed in the last 3-4 weeks, but the Lord blessed it all and it came into Mexico without any trouble. Above all we thank our Father in Heaven for His hand and bringing this all together, we thank Joni and Friends for the open door for us to be able to obtain these wheelchairs, and we thank Steve and Sean for getting them to the mission. Many people will be hugely blessed.

.  Every month hundreds of children are given Children's Hunger Fund boxes, food from Gleanings in Saltana, CA, and milk and peanut butter from friends like you. We thank God for his constant provision.

Prayer Requests:
. Our beloved Nora O'Leary, a former staff member at the Baja Mission, graduated to heaven this week. Board member Carrie Irving wrote:

That makes me incredibly sad.  Norita was a good friend.  I loved her dearly.  I loved being a part of what God did in her life over the years. Each small step of faith she took just blessed me so much.  When she moved off the mission base into her own trailer with her purple hair and joyous spirit, I wanted to applaud.  She had come so far and become a whole person.  So beautiful to watch God's amazing work in a life.  I will really miss her and her incredible faith.  She loved her Lord and King soooooo much.  She must be incredibly happy right now.

A year ago we had a part of Nora's testimony in the newsletter:

Nora has faithfully served at the Baja Mission for 16 years. Nora's journey to the Mission was a trail of brokenness and tears.

"At 20 years old,I was addicted to heroin and a battered wife with nowhere to look but up. God sent a friend to tell me that God had a wonderful life planned for me if I would just trust Him and invite Him in. I did. But it was not an easy journey. At 46, my life hit the skids again. My pastor sent me to the Baja Mission for healing and refocus. I began serving in the kitchen. After 10 years, I took a position as receptionist in the Medical Center. He brought healing to me as I encouraged and prayed for others. I am so grateful to God and to Him be the glory!

. We continue to be painfully short on finances. As the Missions in Mexico are sending their fund requests for money for the month of October we are feeling even more of a burden as we realize we do not have enough money in our accounts to cover all the needs. Please join us in praying for two things:

1) That God would miraculously provide for everything we need and that we would have the faith to trust and wait on His provision.
2) That God would give us wisdom to know what means and avenues to pursue in fundraising.
. Please pray for the administrator at the Michoacan Mission, Jorge Galeana Rubio. This past Saturday he injured his ankle. He will be off his feet for the next two weeks. We pray that the bone will quickly heal.

Jorge
. Please keep in your prayers Modesto, our of our missionaries serving in the mountains of Oaxaca. Despite his very limited vision, he continually travels to small communities in the area of Amoltepec to preach and disciple.

. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to make videos about our ministries in Oaxaca, Sinaloa and Tijuana. If you are interested, please contact Janelle at janelle@ffhm.org.
